Chi-Town Restaurant & Lounge in Prudenville

This is one of the better Asian restaurants, especially for the South side. My Korean wife and I agree their hibachi is number 1 and we go to restaurants all the time. You will unfortunately spend close to $100 for 2 people after the meal which may include drinks and mandatory gratuity. Guaranteed you will eat so much that you can't eat about bite. The hibachi is definitely a great special occasions place. Their regular restaurant is great too, with better priced deals like 2 people for 30. Only competition that would come close in this area is Wu's Japanese house. But my number 1 Asian restaurant still remains my wife's favorite, Peking Mandarin. It's a smaller family owned spot, but their Mongolian beef is the best I have ever tasted. Back to chi Tung, if you haven't been, then you are doing yourself a disservice.

Very good customer service. The food was reasonably price and wait time was reasonable also. The food was okay.

I'd never been to a hibachi restaurant before and had high hopes. We enjoyed the cook preparing the food, however, it was SO salty, I was unable to eat it. Put it in a "to go," box, thinking I could get it home and cut the salt with some chicken broth or water. When I did eat a whole scallop, it was gritty. If it weren't a family event, I'd been better off setting fire to the $50.00 I wasted there.

This is a very beautiful restaurant. The food is amazing. My favorite dish is the curry. If I lived closer to here, I would come here every day. That’s how much I enjoy the food. This restaurant needs more locations nationwide as well, such as in Orland Park, Naperville, and Shorewood.

food is bomb! super good! before COVID-19 happened, they offered daily lunch buffet that had different menu options. good food no doubt!

I love Chi Tung. Our waitress, Jian, was wonderful. We had three birthdays we were celebrating and she made it very special. We will ask to have her as our server next time.

We stopped in for lunch and decided on the buffet. The food on the buffet was hot and fresh, the other dishes our neighbors ordered looked delicious. You get hot tea free with your meal which is great since it was still cold out. We ate until we were full and satisfied and then the check came, so for my wife, my 1.5 yr old and myself the check was 20 dollars and change! Best lunch deal ever! We will definitely be back soon!

Overall the food is good, however; the way they make you wait before they start prepping your food because they want to fill the hibachi table is a little annoying. On Mother’s Day (during quarantine) we ordered online for pickup at 2pm which said it would be ready at 330pm but wasn’t actually ready until 515pm and no compensation for the wait, the lady handed us a scarf and said sorry. To be compensated with a scarf we felt disrespected. That left me with a bad experience. On top of the wait, there was numerous of people walking in behind us PLACING large orders and still getting their food before us. Understanding your style of service and large crowd attraction you guys have to do better.

I did the Hibachi today for lunch. It was superb. I highly recommend it for anyone. The entire experience was 5 stars. Our Chef was amazing. It was great watching him cook right in front of us, and serving immediately. Loved the Yum Yum sauce they give you. Definitely going back.

I Order Shrimp And lobster sauce shrimp was salty they gave me another plate with less shrimp when i gave it to rhem.

Still my favorite Asian restaurant. I love the variety with Chinese, Sushi, Hibachi, and more! The service used to be spectacular but isn't so attentive the last few visits... also disappointed that they no longer offer the family dinner meals, even tho they're still in the menu. The servers also used to wear much nicer, matching, Asian inspired shirts... not sure if management changed. Still enjoy the food but not as happy with the service and ambiance as we used to be.

I ordered my food at 12:27 pm. The waiter told me 30 minutes over the phone I took my time leaving out the door. When I arrived to pickup my order it was not ready and that was 1:15 pm. I paid $100 for my food at the register and I inquired about my order it was never made. This is very sad because they didn’t have a problem with taking my money but didn’t have the order. When I talked to the manager she tried to bush it off and this is unacceptable. I will not be coming here for a long time. I rather spend money where I have better service. Chi Tung received an A- from me

One of my favorite restaurant, very delicious Asian cuisine.Call ahead for take out 30 min in and out. Sometimes there are long lines most of the time weekends.

I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I have to say their service is always great and they keep the place neat at all times. Prices are reasonable and they serve large portions.

Went for Anniversary food was Fantastic as well as the service. Would definitely recommend this place. Did a to go order as well only thing is they forgot my sauce was so looking forward to having.

So on 3.3.20, my brother I had the buffet. Our waitress, which we have had before named JIAN!! She is the best server..Her humor and laughter is very infectious.. She really enjoys her job, and made us as always comfy, and treated quite well. I Love the tempura, and the offerings on the buffet, which are quite tasty... I also had a to go order which was delivered in a timely manner. Normally the restaurant is Jam packed, but due to the worldy illness it was quite slow.... GO and ENJOY some really tasty food(s), in a great atmosphere....

Your typical joint like this. Low grade ingredients, coupled with deep fried battered chicken in exorbitantly sweet glazes. Go number one an hour later and you're hungry again.

First time trying this place for dinner and what a great choice. Food is soooooooo delicious, top notch quality , && great price . Recommend the orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken!

This place has really changed and gone down hill. I could not even get my father a cup of coffee at dinner...However, the Hibachi chefs are still super cool, personal and entertaining.

Just dropped $113 bucks on doordash order...called directly to ask about my order that I waited an hour on. I get attitude from the lady on the line about it being the dashers fault and that the food is ready waiting to be picked up... in reality they never sent out the order for a driver to be pinged at. Magically after the call I get a driver to pick up the order. I know there is a stay at home order but with how it sounds you should be glad to have people giving you business. One star no longer a fan of Chi Tung because of rude and ungrateful attitudes.

Due to social distancing alot has changed but our chef was good and the food was good.

First time trying thai food and was a pretty good experience. Humongous place and have More options than you can count. It's like four resturants at one place. Orange chicken was at the top of my order the other 2 dishes were pretty good but the orange chicken was special and worth a try at this place. Would love to come back and try other dishes. Prices were kind off cheap comparing to chicago and other Asian resturants.

Still the best Oriental cuisine, not crazy about the cheapy plastic bottles for the sauces, makes me think I'm waiting for a hot dog. Please bring back the ceramic tea cups, too! These small things bring ambiance to the dining experience.

Been coming here for years. The freshest hot food ever. This is a secret if you don't know. Great prices and service. Not long wait. Again.....hot good Chinese Food! They have been around for a long time. Clean fresh environment, so don't treat the place different. The food is good everyone, every time!

So last minute dinner idea was here. I have been coming to this place before they expanded . They use to be a hole in the wall literally. But anyways the food we ordered had no flavor, the plates were dirty and my alcohol beverage was watered down completely. I am so disappointed that i spent $70.00 on this horrible experience. I will never be back. Blue Island Seafood is so much better.....

We were celebrating my birthday 2/1/2020 and the food was good as usual. Unfortunately our hibachi cook was distracted by some rude & greedy folks at our table. I know it's not the restaurant's fault but they need to train their staff on how to deal with the folks that don't want this in theirs or give me that stranger's portion that they don't want because I'm greedy. It completely threw him off his game & put a real damper on the evening for the rest of us. We won't be returning.

Usually pretty good. Before the pandemic now you may get forgot about by your server while waiting angry in your booth. Luckily Wu House not that far away only about 4 blocks give or take a block. Usually great food but my last visit was a bit disappointing.

Chi Tung is always a nice restaurant to visit. The food is always good. Always consistent. The sweet plum wine is usually the main reason I come to Chi Tung. This time a friend and I came for the lunch buffet. They didn't have as big of a selection as they usually have. Nonetheless it was good.

Salmon & shrimp are delicious here They soup and salad before your is is delicious.

Reservation and still wait an hour to be seated, always! They're excuse....we are short a server. Hair in the food. Hibachi grill food portions getting slimmer and the bill gets larger. Oh and the mandatory "service fee" added to all bills is bs. How bout you let people decide what to tip without forcing them. Been coming here off and on for over 30 years, this was my first time back in 4 years and it only gets worse. So sad

Had never tried them, I've been to Wu's House that's down the street-- Chi Tung was a little surprising the Hibachi grill was our pick, as the Cook fired up the grill and did the rice I'm was thinking nope... But after he did the chicken and I found out he seasoned it well, I was ok. The rest of the meal was cool and we all brought home left overs. For the price and the occasion we'll be back. HBD Kris

I've heard of this place for a while now, but it's far from me now, but had to go try. This place was not only huge with a large variety, but delicious. I finished every last bite of my sczechuan chicken. The service was impeccable. Staff was always there if you needed something and friendly & welcoming. Would definitely go out of my way to eat there again.10/10

The whole place is incredible. The Hibachi is well prepared, delicious, and the portions are very generous. The noodles and rice are especially fantastic. Their sushi is also good. It is prepared fresh and they have a decent selection. The week day lunch buffet is a must! It's very inexpensive and although it's a small buffet, the food is fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

one of the greatest ASIAN food establishment's in the area .Warm welcoming and been in the area just after chinese Lang Lee take out moved to another location.Loved the assistance in carrying. A plate in a crowded lunch buffet budget friendly and ample.

Haven’t been here in a long time. So I decided to get dinner from there today. My total was $60 which wasn’t bad. I got my order and left but when I got home I was so unsatisfied the food was tasteless the only thing I liked was the lo me in everything else was greasy and tasteless.

Miss eating in but trying to be safe. Take out order took like 25 min. I feel like the are skimping on the shrimp last couple of times I ordered.

Hands down the best around. You can get Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Mongolian, Habatchi all in one restaurant. Everything is top quality and great prices. We've been coming here for over 15 years and never had a bad meal. Definitely one of the best restaurants out there.

Ordered tonight for first time via Door Dash. The delivery was great but the food not so much! The supposedly sizzling beef was oddly gray colored and I just couldn’t eat it! The shrimp Lo mein noodles were horrid! What a waste of good money! I won’t be returning
